Hi all. I'm going crazy looking for an error somewhere.
I'm doing a credit card reconciliation, and after clearing all my transactions, the "cleared" value is different than my statement. Usually this means I've entered something incorrectly, so I cleared all my cleared notations, and started over, twice. Then I generated a report of cleared transactions in my account. The report amount matches perfectly to the credit card statement. So two parts of the program, Reconciliation and Report, supposedly using the same data, are coming up $42.35 apart. I even took a calculator and added up the transactions from my statement, the reconciliation and the report, all came up to the same value. It is only the reconciliation that is problematic, because that difference will affect future reconciliations. Anybody have any ideas? I'm just going to leave things as cleared for now and not finish the reconciliation until I can get this fixed. Thanks! |

Hi all! Another Kmymoney question. I have no cleared transactions, yet the ledger indicates I have a large "cleared" amount. I think this might be my reconciliation problem. I would attach a screenshot, but this forum won't allow inserting an image from a pc. Any reason what's going on with KmyMoney?
I'm running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with a Cinnamon desktop Thanks. |

Do you have any 'reconciled' transaction? They also count as cleared. You can share a screenshot via mail to kmymoney-devel@kde.org if you want.

Hi ipwizard! Thanks for your reply, and sorry for my slow response. I haven't been back on the forum for awhile, (side note, are there notifications when questions get answered?)
I have a couple screenshots. There are not recconciled transactions involved that I can tell. the two shots are of my most recent reconciliation screen, and a report of all cleared transactions. The report is correct, the reconciliation screen still has a different cleared value and gives a popup warning about the cleared amount not matching the bank statement when I try to finish. I'll send them to your email now. Thanks so much! |

Yes, you can get notifications. I get them, but I don't really remember what I did to get them. Possibly it is a feature which is activated when you subscribe the forum. You can do that via the 'Tools' button at the top and/or bottom of the forum page.

Do you have any scheduled transactions where the drop-down box for STATUS is set to CLEARED?
That would add transactions to your reconcile total even if they aren't on your statement. |

Hi Markhm. No all my scheduled transactions are set to "not reconciled"

And ipwizard, I sent you an email, but got the bounce back that it needed moderator approval. So the two screenshots are up with the Forum somewhere. And I did check the box to get notification, but I didn't get one for the last two responses. I'll figure that out on my own.
