I have a new KMM for my accounts and I'd like to import data from an older KMM file.
What would be the best way to do this, minimizing the amount of manual work to be done? (It's years of records from dozens of accounts, so I can't check all transactions one by one). |

I'd go the other way around: make a copy of the old one and throw things out that you don't need anymore. That's a lot easier.

I already added a lot of information to the new one. Re-creating it in the old one is not an option either. I need a way to move information from one to the other. |

I expect the internal IDs for objects (accounts, payees, etc.) differs between the two files. That is the part that will make a simple copy very hard. How about account, category and payee names? Are they in sync? Otherwise this will become very tedious even with export/import. This is my guess without knowing the details.
