Found that KMM 5.1.1 is available in Debian Bullseye and thus also in Devuan Chimaera. Gave them a try in a VM on as well Mate as Cinnamon desktop, and found that several icons are missing in these installations.

Home, Payee, Ledger and others are present. Institutions, Accounts, Scheduled transactions and others just show the title, no icon.

What migth be missing in these builds?

The Debian packages for KMM 5.0.6, 5.1.0 and 5.1.1 do not contain anything else but "system" icons, at least when you are on Mate or Cinnamon desktop. The higher the KMM version the more gaps you find.

Some research in the internet and a hint in KMM 5.1.1 showed: you need to install at least one of these packages to get a complete set:
breeze-icon-theme oxygen-icon-theme tango-icon-theme

After working with the new icons for a while and trying all three, IMHO only the oxygen theme is useful. The other still leave gaps and show in-consistant results.

BTW: 5.1.1 now is in Backports Buster/Beowulf. Got it installed.
