I have a problem with the investment reports in windows version 5.1.80 compared to version 4.8.4.
In the old version I could choose at the finest level of detail (stock) now the filter on the accounts does not allow it anymore, only the account level can be choosen and the reports i used are no more valid in the new version, where am i wrong ? |

Not sure if I understand, but everything should work as before. If you open the "Configure" menu, there is a "Filter" tab where all things can be found.

Thanks a lot for answering and yes you understood well, but everything does not work as before in V5 : in V4.8 i could filter at the equity level, in V5 i cannot choose an equity anymore but only the corresponding portfolio ie all the equities included, which is not suitable for me as i have a lot of equities for each portfolio.
I could show what I mean, but I don't know how to attach a screenshot. |

If you open the Filters tab, and then the Account tab, you should be able to select individual equities. Click on the little arrow on the left to open an account and see what's in it.

I'll give you an example :
I have an account named Houses where i have 4 houses In KMM V4.8 i have a chart to see the evolution of the price of each house, in configure/criteria/account tab i can open the Houses account and choose one of the houses inside or each of them. When in KMM V5 with the same database i open the chart and in configure/filters/account i can see only the account Houses, no little arrow for opening it. I can see the little arrow for all accounts but never for investment accounts. |

Open the Settings menu. Select Configure KMyMoney. Select the Filter tab on the General page. Mark the option Show equity accounts. That should do the trick.

I see. Looking a bit at the source code, I found out, that they are only shown for the investment reports not the other ones. I don't remember KMyMoney 4.x and how it behaved. Also, I don't know who changed that and why. See also this bug report and fix.

I just went back the whole thread and noticed, that you are using a 5.1.80 version. This identifies the development version and at the moment we do not recommend to use it for production purposes (it may eat your data). Use any of 5.1.1+ instead.
5.1.80 (and other daily snapshot) versions come with an additional number that identifies the exact source code state they were built from. You can see that in Help/About KMyMoney or by running kmymoney -v on the command line. Would be nice if you can drop that here. So at least, you need a version that was created after 09/02/2020 at 19:42 UTC. Versions older do not contain the necessary fix. You may have found another bug though, so it is important to know which version you used and which report you used for your test.

I used the" Investment price graph default report" on those versions :
5.0.6 = OK 5.1.1-2cc89fc6c = NOK 5.1.1-0fe0b1db9 = NOK 5.1.80-a08966c1c = NOK |
