My 401k transaction list from T. Rowe Price has two transaction types I need advice on entering into KMyMoney:
1. Quarterly Fee against a specific security - a negative number of shares at a specified price 2. Quarterly Market Fluctuation against a specific security - a plus or minus dollar amount only The user manual only talks about fees related to a transaction (as far as I've found). I don't know how to add these 2 transactions into my 401k account. Could someone direct me please? Thanks |

1. This is a sale so you would enter the transaction as a sale. Reduce the specific stated shares sold then you will see in the transaction form a field called "Fees" (it's greyed out) . You will need to select the Expense category for this expense. I added an expense category called "401k services" as I wanted to track this amount. You can build or use the category that works best for you. Enter the amount for the fee in field and value amount as these must equal.
2. If I understand what you asking here this is about the price fluctuation. If it is the same as what I've seen you don't have to do anything with the figure. There's no change in the number of shares. |

For number 2, you don't need to enter a transaction, but just update the share price of the security. Either manually, using the price in your statement: from the KMM Investments tab, right click on the security and select "Manual price update", or you can download price updates if you have configured the security for that.
