I had been successfully using the Linux appimage released the end of June. I tried using the latest stable appimage and it wont run. I then tried all the still available stable appimages released in July and found none of them would run. I went back again to using a backup copy of the "end of June" Version 5.1.2-17b6a2b and it ran as expected.

Is this a known issue?
Is there a workaround for using a current appimage?

I am using Linux Mint.

I removed the problematic woob plugin from the AppImage builds. Check the binary factory for an updated version.

Thanks for the quick fix. That version runs properly and seems to load faster than any appimage ever did before.
