Hi,

I have used kmymoney for years without problems but now I cannot seem to amend categories if they are already listed. This does not seem to happen on all imports!
The mouse is stil working but when the category is highlighted I cannot delete it to show other/all categeries.
FYI I am runing Fedora 34 and Kmymoney 5.1.2.
Before reporting it as a bug, are there other actions I can try to solve the problem?

Sorry, but your description is pretty confusing and does not make sense to me. What do you mean by "amend categories if they are already listed"? Where are they listed and what are you trying to amend? How is that related to importing transactions? In which part of the program does the "when the category is highlighted I cannot delete it to show other/all categeries" happens? Try to describe in detail what you are doing and which dialog/view you do this in. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the confusion, I will try and answer your questions which i hope will help.

Amend categories already listed - I am trying to edit a category that I had previously listed for name entry. For instance changing a Tesco entry from "Groceries" to "home Repair". They are already listed in the categories that I have made and used previously.
How is that with importing transactions - the reason for me changing some categories was because I had imported quit a few from a bank and some needed editing. it was background to why I wanted to change several entries.
The actual dialog/view is the editing box for the entry and the pulldown list showing all my categories.

Normally when its opened I can see the actual selected category high lighted in blue and I can delete it which then gives me a complete list to select from. The problem is that I cannot swipe with my mouse or delete button to remove the entry. but the mouse and keyboard are OK.
I will check again but I think at least some other entries do in fact work! I am now wondering if there was something in the OFX download may have somehow locked the categories.
