Hi, everyone,
I am running the stable version 5.1.1 right now and wondering if there is any advantage using the master version. After a bit of searching, I can't find any comparison between the stable and master version. Can someone kindly point me to the information? Please. Howard |

Hi Howard,
It's a matter of common knowledge, that the master branch of (most) open source projects generally reflects its current development state. It is unstable by nature, may crash, report false figures, eat your data and maybe more. The stable version on the other hand is meant to be used for production purposes. Therefore, you won't find any additional information about the differences of the two branches. In other words: for a regular user there is no advantage of using the master branch version. BTW: the KMyMoney developers I know use the stable branch version for their production data and only use master for development. Hope that answers your question.
