The following scenario gives me slight headaches: Transfer of some money from Bank A to Bank B takes a few days typically.

I would like to keep the dates in KMM listed as on the account sheets I am getting (not sure if the terminology is correct. I am guessing ...). My workaround currently is to transfer the money from Bank A to a dummy account, and then a few days later from the dummy to Bank B.

Is there a smarter way to achieve my goal?

That's exactly what I am doing. I don't call it dummy but transfer account. There are a few wish list entries containing some background information about this subject already:

Handling money in transfer / different dates for splits
Different post date for transaction across accounts
Virtual float accounts.
