KMymoney 5.1.2. Ubuntu. Re: Stock selection when configuring a report.
So, I *think* that the only way to select, say, a hundred or so, stocks in my investment account is to click on one, space bar to select, down arrow, spacebar, continue on and on. (Select ALL does not help since then I would have to UNselect the other 2 hundred.) I'm getting carpal tunnel. If there is a faster method, please share. It would be great if you could click on the single box next to an account and have that fill in all of the stocks in that account. Also, it would be nice to implement the standard known around the world, no make that solar system, where I click on one, hold down the shift key and click on another so that all in between are selected. Help me out here, my health is at stake!

Since there is no one out there who has an answer to this problem, let me give this pro-tip. When you have to select, say 30 stocks, rather than clicking on each one individually with a mouse, it is much easier to use the up/down arrows and the spacebar on your keyboard. Click with the mouse on the stock name, not the small selection box to the left, to highlight it. Then go crazy with the spacebar. Your wrist will thank me later. :-)

Zebulon! I would love for you to be right here, but I am looking at a list of stocks in the Filter>Account for a report and I am trying shift-click in several places and it's not working. What am I doing wrong?
thanks, as usual.

My bad. I thought you were in a ledger. Should have looked closer when reading. Commiserations to your carpal tunnel.

Oops, must have missed this one: did you try using the right mouse button on the parent account? That should select all sub-accounts in the filter.

ipwizard, proud to be a member of the KMyMoney forum since its beginning. :-D

p.s. my physical therapist is upset now that the carpal tunnel is abating. :-)
