Hello,

Is there a way to retrieve prices for Canadian fund prices?
I tried to retrieve them from Finance. Yahoo source but I don't get a price update.
Is there a way known to retrieve them e.g. from TMX? And how can I create a new price source?
I tried to create one but couldn't find a way to that (Sorry I'm quite new to KMM)
TIA
Fred

PS. I'm using KMM v.5.0.9 on Linux Ubuntu

Hi,

Updating price from yahoo finance works well for me.
Could you tell us which Canadian mutual funds does not work for you ?
Here are some details on how to set your settings and create your own price source

Hi,
I tried the following funds (with their original fund code):
RBC Monthly income (RBF1095), RBC select Balanced (RBF460).
Is Yahoo perhaps different symbols?
TIA
Fred

Ahh
I figured it out that YAHOO is using different symbols for those funds.
I looked them all up and used 'their' symbol.
The price update is now working.

But another question, when adding the investments, I can't select the trading market 'TSX'.
Does it matter? Or can/should I add a new trading market to the app? How?

TIA
Fred

Thank you for your feedback, this is a good news. :)

I may be wrong but I think it does not matter.
I think that this information is used only to sort share by trading market in some reports.

Type "TSX" in this field and it should work.

re: Trading Market
As suggested, I entered 'TSX' in the field Trading market f the investment (Fund).
After I saved the changes and loaded the investment again, the field 'Trading Market is now empty.
'TSX' is not in the drop-down list of the trading markets in this field.

Seems to me that this is a bug (to lose the entry)

Cheers
Fred

I can not reproduce it (kmymoney 5.1.2), so maybe already fixed

I just tested it in an AppImage that I have for 5.1.2 ... and it seems that it saves the changed trading market back into the database.
All is good :-)
