Hello,
I've just loaded KmyMoney 5.06 on a Windows 11 machine and entered my bank data but cannot back it up or export the file. When I try I get an error message. I can save the file as a Kmymoney file, and reopen it. Does anyone have any guidance? Please share if you do. |

I am not the expert here, but let me ask a couple of questions that might help.
1) I "backup" my data by using the operating system to copy the kmy file to an NAS -- not from within KMM. How are you trying to do it? 2) What is the error message that you get? thanks and rest assured that someone in this group will be able to help solve the problem. A |

I am not a Windows user (at least not when it comes to KMyMoney) but I suggest to get a newer version. 5.0.6 was released Aug 18th, 2019 and according to the KMyMoney news page 5 releases followed. So I doubt that your version will receive any fixes. As the previous user mentioned, using backup features on the OS level is a valid workaround. There is no difference doing that or using the built in copy mechanism. BTW, the bug you report was fixed in version 5.1.0.
