I've asked this question before and got no response, so excuse me for repeating it. I cannot see how to increase the fonts in the reports. I found this question asked 5-6 years ago and the answer was a bit obtuse; something like the font size depends on the KDE system fonts. But I tried changing the system fonts a lot and it has no effect on my reports. On a laptop screen, they are all but unreadable. Quick, I'm starting to turn blue!!

Did you ever try Ctrl+Mousewheel? I can change the size on screen using that method. Another one would be to tweak the CSS file that is used for reports. See the settings for the report plugin which CSS file is used. And please don't forget to unblock your breathing organs before any of those trials

I have had success with modifying the css file and then saving that modified version in my own folder. As IPWIZARD points out, you have to go to Settings and then the Reports plugin to change the location of your css file.
There doesn't seem to be any documentation available on the syntax of the css. So for some changes, you have to browse the css sheet and look at how different aspects are controlled and test that syntax for what you want to do. I changed font styles, sizes and bold or italic attributes on my reports and the results were very satisfactory. It it safest to store your css in a new location so that you can easily revert to the stock css if things go wrong or to compare changes. But this isn't really a problem, because I found if you delete the original css in the stock location, the program will create a new one if it doesn't find one there. I use Linux and the stock css is located in ~/.config/kmymoney/html/ folder. It is called kmymoney.css |

Excellent, dudes!
The ctrl-CenterMouseWheel works but it doesn't look like it is permanent. However, the css-file editing works well. For anyone else looking to do this, I copied the kmymoney.css file from /home/atheist/.config/kmymoney/html to my Documents/KMyMoney directory (since that folder is automatically backed up by Lucky Backup),. I then went into the program's Settings-> Configure KMymoney -> Plugins -> Reports View (Configure) -> added the new path to the css file. In the new css file I scrolled down to this level: table.report td {/*styles table cells- but not background color*/ font-size: 9pt; and I changed the 9pt to 16pt. And as instructed by the previous contributors, I took a deep breath. Another life saved by KDE experts ! thanks, A |
