Hi,
I'm using custom generated QIF files to transfer transactions from 3rd party system to KMyMoney. To simplify import process I added destination account name to the beginning of QIF file:
Import wizard in KMyMoney doesn't ask for destination account so it recognize it (as desired). If destination account is placed directly under "Assets" (parent account ID is "AStd::Asset"), transactions are imported to correct (already existing) account as expected. Problem is when destination account in KMyMoney is not placed under root "Assets" but under some level deeper (for example: "Assets:Cash:My Cash Account"). To address correct account in QIF file, full account name is used like "Cash:My Cash Account". In that case KMyMoney creates duplicate account with exactly same name and in same parent account as already existing account instead of using existing one (unexpected behavior). Is that bug or feature? |
