Scenario:

Investment account - Stocks.
Associated checking account - Stocks (Brokerage).
Expense category - Stock Fees.

Reproduction:

Add 1 share to the Stocks ledger (stock award from an employer for instance). Call the share ticker SYMBOL for ease of reference.
Sell 1 share for whatever value.
Designate the Stocks (Brokerage) account as the receiving account for the transaction.
Save the transaction (no fee yet).

Right-click the Sell Shares entry that shows up in the ledger. The "Go to" destination will be the Stocks (Brokerage) account. Go there.
Right-click the SYMBOL (Sell) entry that shows up in the ledger for Stocks (Brokerage). The "Go to" destination will be Stocks. Go there.

Double-click the Sell Shares entry, and add a fee, setting the category to Stock Fees. Any value.
Save the transaction.

Right-click the Sell Shares entry. The "Go to" destination will be the Stocks (Brokerage) account. Go there.
Right-click the SYMBOL (Sell) entry. The "Go to" destination is now Stock Fees.

Expectation:

I expect that right-click on SYMBOL (Sell) would offer the origin of the sale, not the associated fees category, because I think of the investment transaction as the parent for both the entry in the Stocks (Brokerage) account, and the Stock Fees category, and don't see why the brokerage entry would need to know about the split fee into the fees category.

Background:

What I'm doing that's led to this is importing 10 years of data (manually keying, no computer-readable format available), and I'll have a sequence where some stocks are added, then some are sold to cover tax, and there's a fee associated. I then need to go to the Brokerage account to record a withdrawal of the tax value (it's not the same as the sale value due to the vagaries of the market) to an expense account for "Income Tax". I then move on to the next statement, and want to right-click to jump back to the Stocks account.. but instead kMyMoney wants to take me to the expense for "Stock Fees".

Yes, I can select the correct ledger from the dropdown of accounts, but that involves a fair bit of scrolling - I've got 13 asset accounts at the moment, and there will be more.

Have I missed a setting somewhere that would control what "Go to" destination is selected? Or do I need to file a feature request via the bugtracker?

This is kMyMoney version 5.1.2
