Problem with import of ofx file

Sat Jun 04, 2022 11:46 pm
Hello,

I am importing an export of my broker in KmyMoney 5.0.6 on Win10.
Format is ofx or qfx.
Included are stock purchases and options

Result for both files: 51 entries are imported, but almost all without details.

Date and amount are present, but booking text is empty.

3 entries have the correct text, they are dividends received.

The purchases, sales and rent for options are all empty.

However, there is correct trading information in the files.

What can be the reason for this?

VG,
Axel

Perhaps you should check the download file for errors:
OFX File Analyzer & OFX File Viewer

Thanks for the link. OFX Data Analyzer shows "No Parse Errors".

After a few links after your link, I found a download of Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe Sunset (https://sites.google.com/site/pocketsen ... moneyfixp1).

After installing it was easy to import the OFX file to use the export from my American bank.

This is a workaround for me. Not the best, but I can transfer the data I need.

Unfortunately, my banking software does not understand the OFX. But using this workaround with Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe Sunset, I can manually transfer the relevant data.

I will therefore not use kmymoney further, as I found a working solution via your link.

The 5.0.6 version you mentioned is extremely old, I don't understand why would you insist on using it?

Try a newer version and see if it works for you. You can download one with recent OFX issue fixed from here https://binary-factory.kde.org/view/Win ... in64/1467/
