I have a 3-month US treasury for which TDAmeritrade gives the symbol 912796YW3
However when I include it in my stock list to be updated by Yahoo FInance, it fails.
I tried googling the solution, but I feel confident that one of you will know the answer.

Odd. Searching on that CUSIP does find info about that item (is it three months or six months?). Yahoo Search shows info about it, but not Yahoo Finance. I wonder if the issue is that it is a "Bill" not a "Bond." I don't really understand the difference, but perhaps it doesn't have a daily price like a bond does. It appears you can sell them back to the treasury before maturity, but perhaps they can't otherwise be traded.
