The GPG recovery key available at https://kmymoney.org/recovery.html is expiring soon (2023-01-07) and KMyMoney warns about this when starting up (if your save file uses the recovery key, obviously).
Can the key be updated? |

It can be updated, I wonder though how many users really make use of the GPG-recover feature. We had two instances in the last 10 years where people ruined their data by loosing their private key and asked for help. In both instances, they did not make use of the recover key which made their data unreachable.

Well, I use it
Perhaps the set of people who actually use the recovery key are also the people more likely to not be in a situation to need to use it. Hopefully others who see the same warning message when starting KMyMoney will be motivated to chime in with a "me too" in this thread. Come on guys, you can do it! I created a KDE forum account just to post this message! |

I have noticed the warning as well. 18 days remaining, as of today.

Thanks! I updated the key and KMyMoney no longer warns about the expiring key.
