Many ledger entries now require me to ACCEPT them. Why?

Hi everyone. I hope you all are well and happy.
I have been tooling along as happy as a clam in poop.*
All of a sudden I notice that many of my ledger entries (both liability and asset account) are marked in yellow and show "Accept" as a choice. I click on that and the yellow highlighting goes away, as would be expected. But there are many many such yellow-marked entries in several accounts. I have no idea how I got into this Twilight Zone. I can "select all" (ctrl-A) and "accept" gets rid of all highlighting in that account. But, I'm worried that I may have screwed something else up unbeknownst to me. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

It would really help to know which version you are using, along with which OS/distribution. However, recently (actually not that recently, depending on you perspective) all imported transactions are imported in that state. It is possible that the imported state was simply not explicitly displayed prior to some recent update.

Those are imported transactions. Simply accept them and you are done. No harm.
