KMyMoney's look

Fri Dec 26, 2008 3:28 pm
I use Ubuntu 8.10 (without the "K") and I apologize if this is a stupid question, but... how I can change the KMyMoney's look?

You should install KControl, or its equivalent, and change KDE's default look. That's what KMyMoney uses for its look & feel definition.

Yes, I had some suspect about "KControl", but see this:

tony@NB2:~$ sudo apt-get install kcontrol
[sudo] password for tony:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package kcontrol is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
However the following packages replace it:
kdebase-workspace-bin kdelibs4c2a
E: Package kcontrol has no installation candidate

What does it mean? :undecided:

It means that you have to enable some other repo to have kcontrol available.

I think there is a PPA that makes KDE 3.5 available in Ubuntu 8.10, but I wouldn't know because I use 8.04.2 myself.[hr]
After some browsing, I think you might have some luck installing the package kdebase-workspace-bin
YMMV, though. It seems they have messed a lot with KDE3 settings in Intrepid.
