I've been watching with interest the threads about OFX downloads hoping to see the answer to my problem, especially the one concerning the problems the gentleman was having with American Express, but so far no luck. I also am using Clay's PPA version of KMyMoney. I was getting an immediate "No suitable accounts..." error attempting to download from my bank. After I updated to the latest PPA version, I was able to use the "Force SSL3" option and got a little close. However, the dialog saying that it's connected to the bank and is awaiting a response appears but never goes away. While KMyMoney is waiting for the server (obviously) I wonder if the bank's server is waiting for additional info from KMyMoney?
Could the problem be on the bank side? Should I call the bank's tech support and check on the status of my password? I can use the web banking using the same password with no problem, so surely the account isn't locked out. But the bank's server seems to ignore KMyMoney after the initial (I assume) connection. BTW, this is the same behavior I got when I tried the AqBanking plug-in. Thanks for any guidance you guys can give me as to what my next step should be. If you need to experiment, my bank is "First Tennessee" in the list KMyMoney pulls from the web. Robert Rathbone |

Apparently, the information for that bank is not complete, because the fields Org and Fid are empty for it.
If we take this for e.g. from the American Express Card company we get
I found some interesting information on a page of the GnuCash wiki which says it must be
Using those values on the manual tab available in KMyMoney worked for me (at least I got an error if I tried test/test as username/password combination).

Thank you! I should have known that there would be missing info. I didn't have a clue where to look to confirm the automatic settings. I'll try to find time to give this a try tonight and let you know how it works! Thanks again! Robert

Success! I was able to connect to the bank for both my checking and savings accounts. It downloaded a bunch of transactions and duplicated most of them since they had already been cleared manually. Hopefully the next download will be smoother. I just have to figure out how to handle these downloads. ![]() Thanks again for your help! Robert |
