Purging and archiving

Thu Mar 05, 2009 8:36 am
Hi, devs:

I have a question that I don't find an answer to in the user guide. Is there currently (or will there be soon) a way to do the following?

1) Purge closed accounts
2) Archive old transactions

I have a couple of old accounts in my file now that I'd like to see go away. Other than exporting to a .QIF file and then deleting the account (which can break dependancies), I can't find a way to do it.

Thanks for your input.

Currently this is not implemented. A feature request for 2) is already available on the SourceForge request tracker. I am not sure (yet), but I have a gut feeling that 1) is not just achieved by deleting the transactions as those might still reference open accounts.
