I am looking for a way to enable the "Save as (db)" feature (either as MySql or Sqlite) without success yet (the "Save as...:" does not give me such option) !
I use the latest (CVS) version on ubuntu 8.04 (amd64) and I have tried: -> to find some relevant option at the ~/.kde/share/config/kmymoney2rc file -> compiling (successfully) with --enable-sqlite option at ./configure task but nothing. Any suggestion?

This option is in the kmymoney2ui.rc file in the source.
It is in CVS see the last checkin on http://kmymoney2.cvs.sourceforge.net/vi ... c?view=log. So you must check if your CVS sandbox which you used to compile kmymoney contains that commit.

The Save As Database has been enabled by default. It is a different option, right under Save As...

I found my -strange- problem!
Although my /CVS/kmymoney2/kmymoney2/kmymoney2ui.rc (from which I compiled the last CVS version) is the right one (without the lines), my ~/.kde/share/apps/kmymoney2/kmymoney2ui.rc file was the old one ! I had done "sudo make uninstall" & "sudo make clean" before compiling from CVS again. Why it not changed in my home dir? Anyway, I changed my local file and it now works! Thanks a lot. |

Uninstalling should not delete your personal data (personal settings) since they are your settings and if you install the application later you will be glad that your settings are still there .
