Just moved to openSuse 11.1 with KDE4 and the home page fonts are too large and I haven't found how to change them.
Help, please? aga

You can choose the font page size as a percentage of the regular size. Go to the Home Settings in Configure KMyMoney...

Silly me looking under fonts! Thanks for that. I've been having trouble sorting out my fonts on KDE 4.1, in various places. In passing, still on the home page, having reduced the font size to 70%, might it be possible to compact the vertical layout, do you think? Also, at the foot of the page there is a link to the Welcome page, but no apparent way to get back. Then, if you click on new features, there is a left arrow at the top, which doesn't work for me. If I click to the right of it, though, I do get back to the Welcome page. Ah, just found that if I use that same trick on the Welcome page (where there is no arrow) I do get back to the Home page. Cheers aga

FTR: Pressing the Ctrl-key and scrolling the mouse wheel with the mouse cursor over the home page also modifies the font size. Also works in newer browsers in case you did not know. Since you're on SuSE 11.1 - as I am - I suggest to upgrade to KDE 4.2.3 from here. This is much better (more stable) than the stock 4.1.

Thanks for the tips. Useful already. Seems the Ctl-scroll only works on KDE apps? KDE 4.2.3 is underway now. 4.0 lasted about an hour for me! 4.1 was much better for stability. It would be good to see the screen-space reduced on Home page some time - conservation and all that. ![]() aga

The home page is going to change, but post 1.0, post porting to kde4.

Yes, that's fine. Is it just bug-fixes now, to speed the progress to 1.0? aga

Yes. There has been a feature and string-freeze for some time now.
Also, there is no point in changing the aesthetics so much when all that is going to change during the port to kde4.

Amen to that - absolutely agree, whatever a string-freeze is. ![]() aga

It's the point in time when the developers decide that no (visible) message must be changed anymore before an upcoming release to give the translators a chance to catch up with their work. Regarding the ctrl-mouse-wheel-thingy: It also works for me in Firefox which isn't a KDE app at all.

Ah, new one on me.
Yes that's true. I was trying in Thunderbird, and it just scrolls vertically. As an aside, I also tried in a Wine-XP app., and it scrolled horizontally!! That must indicate something. aga

Back on font sizing. I haven't yet found a way to reduce the font size in dialog boxes. For instance, in Ledger view, when I open the payee selector, Ctrl/scroll just scrolls. The file selector is the same, too. Also, in the navigation box, I can reduce the icon size, but not the text. Just thought it as well to put it on record for when the time comes. aga

That size is changed from the KDE3 font settings. All the text outside the home page, which is a KHTML Part, uses the default KDE font settings.

Hi Alvaro It wasn't responding to the default settings (KDE4), as I'd already tried that. So, with an inspired guess, I did 'kcmshell fonts' and that did the trick. Must be getting close now! Thanks again. aga

He, that's why I said 'KDE3' font settings.
