I finally have packages for the latest release, kmymoney2 1.0.1 in my Ubuntu ppa archive. I have figured out the missing help file problem in Jaunty, though not for Hardy yet - there are some differences between the 2 versions I have not gotten to the bottom of just yet. My old laptop (and main system) overheats when I compile kmm, forcing me to use the ubuntu build servers to build the packages. This takes a long time as the code sits in a queue for a while before it builds, often hours for each try

But anyhow I do have packages up there, and I have also revamped things by adding in some extra ppa archives.

these packages are very unofficial and not supported other than what my time allows. Now that I have some packaging bugs worked out, future releases should be smoother.
