How about Korona?
It's listed by wikipedia as a defunct hungarian currency (also as a generic term for currency in Hungarian, though I'm an English-only speaker). It sounds like a whole bunch of different currencies (crowns, koruny, kroner). Plus, I think it sounds cool, like a corona, the halo around the moon in a solar eclipse. (or a Mexican beer...) |

Or the name of a version of the not widely known THEOS operating system.
OK, I have to admit that I worked for THEOS many years ago - and I am sure that one source line or the other of this system is still in there today.

I like Korona or Krona, but Krona sounds too much like something to do with cron.

Korona sounds like Plasma's Corona, although "normal" users probably don't know about it.

Nice video, Kragil, but it's not a big secret that we should avoid silly names. The question is: what names are silly. Please list them so that we won't pick one of them.

I can't think of any good reason to change (other than to simplify).
I don't think the "K" can be dropped - can it? If you drop "My" you lose the personal finance aspect to the title. "KMyMoney" encapsulates just what the app. does. Changing it to some nonsense word will do nothing but harm to a great app IMHO.

I have to compile all the posts and then post the results, so it's easy for everyone to see the options.
My biggest apologies, because I haven't had that much time lately.

There are about 50 names we can choose from. Still, it's up to the development team whether we change or not.
Whatever the results, the community response was overwhelming, and I want to thank everyone for that
