Is there any way to override the apparent lockout in the ledger
from entering a transaction prior to the current year?

I imported my M$Money files and am trying to correct a couple
of missing entries. As soon as I change the transaction date to a year other than 2009, the ability to enter the transaction goes away.

Even if I try and create a new transaction, as soon as the year changes from 2009 the ability to enter the transaction is not available.

There is no such lock, but there is a check for the opening dates of your accounts. You cannot post a transaction for a date before the opening date.

So, check the opening date of your accounts.

That was easy. Change the starting date and I can now
load past transactions.
