Can't edit account types.

Sat Jan 02, 2010 10:41 pm
Recent migrant from Windows to Ubuntu Hardy and Quickbooks to KMM 1.0.2. (after skirmishes with GNUcash, MoneyDance etc.) Don't know whether my "problem" is built in to KMM or due to not using KDE 4?

In trying to edit the accounts I've created, the dialog box for Type is greyed out. Only way to change type is empty the acct, delete & re-create it. Is there a simpler way?

If I need parts of KDE 4 to change this behaviour, can I install them without the whole 9 yards? You can tell I don't have a real grasp of how all these things fit together. Took me a whole painful day to figure out how to add a PPA & get the KMM package from it.

Thanks for any & all help.

Account types cannot be changed, but you can move all your transactions to a new account type if you wish. (unless it's an investment account).
