I've set up budgets for 2009 and 2010, but the 2009 budget actually goes through about March 2010. When I try to set up a report to see the year from 4/2009 to 3/2010, based on the 2009 budget, Jan-Mar 2010 don't show any numbers from the budget (just the actual numbers). Is there a way to make the budget work for a user-defined time, instead of just a calendar year, so that the budget can span more than one year?

Yes, it requires changing the code though and implement this feature. I kind of remember to have seen a wishlist item for this somewhere.

OK, should I try to find the wish and vote for it? Or is already part of the feature plans?

The feature plans have not been devised yet, but when they are, a major overhaul of the budgets is going to be in there.
