Hi KMyMoney team,
first of all thanks a lot for that wonderful OpenSource Finance application. Was long time missing such a good piece of software for bookkeeping in combination with online banking. I recently found KMyMoney and now busy to set up all my accounts and groups and stuff. Finally I've got everything arranged but came to an issue and it perfectly matches timewise with the announcement to open that Forum I posted just today on another forum before I got that this new forum has been set up:

Anyway, I am using following system:
openSUSE 11.0 x86_64
KMyMoney 0.9.2 from Packman
AqBanking 3.7.2 from Packman

and try to connect to the German Postbank (BLZ: 54510067) via HBCI 2.2 PIN/TAN which works just fine. The current bank account with PIN gives me the login to the HBCI server. The server transmitted 4 accounts which includes my VISA and Deposit Account. The current bank account can be perfectly syncronised with the KMyMoney account but when I try to get the status about the other ones following error messages are given:

HBCI: 9050 - Nachricht teilweise fehlerhaft. (M)
HBCI: 9953 - Für diesen Kontotyp wird eine Umsatzanzeige nicht unterstützt (S)

The Postbank customer service confirmed that VISA and Deposit information are handled via HBCI as well so I tried with qbankmaner as there is a possibility to decide what to load down from the bank, either all the transfer information or the balance information only (or both). In that program I see then the status of e.g. the VISA card by only selecting to download balance information. In KMyMoney I only found that the transfers are going to be checked but not the balance alone. Is there any tweak possible to just get the current status without the transfer information for those accounts? For shares and the VISA a status would be sufficient currently. Now I am syncronising manually from time to time.

Since this option was missing, I just added it to the KBanking SVN. Please give it a try.

Can you please update the German forum about the availability of this feature? Thanks.

have tested the latest 0.9.2-CVS but this doesn't solve my issue. The aqbanking log looks the same with the error message, so I guess it gets the request from KMyMoney to download the transfer information and not the balance but the following KMyMoney report now states, that there is no information available for the balance (before it stated random values, e.g. -92238759652348759,23) and obviously still no transfers are booked. Transferes are most likely not even supported by the bank for credit card so it would be great if there is just the bank balance information handed over to KMyMoney and so visible in the financial overview.

Did you update KBanking from SVN also? I only made changes to KBanking which lives in a different repository than KMyMoney.

Where to get and how to incorporate KBanking you modified?

Sorry, but I am not a developer and not so familiar with the different ways of storing and tracking code. But I assumed in the cvs repo its updated as the ChangeLog shows your entry.

First think - then post....

Got myself familiar with the basics of svn and got the updated plugin compiled and running. The VISA card balance information is shown correctly in the ledger area but not in the summary. There are two yellow bars currently that shows the initial alignment as 0,00 and the next yellow one the correct balance information. Bottom line sums up to 0,00 still so no info in the front summary sheet.

But many thanks for the initial quick fix. Maybe on further releases you can get it to the ledger sum and so in the front sheet summary.

Can you post screenshots? In case of a non-zero balance: do you have any transactions in the ledger?

Hi ipwizard,
as the correct balance comes through I get a yellow status line in the ledger but no brighter one which comes usually to identify transactions. I can not change the status line, e.g. make a scheduled action or double entry book it. Here some screen shots (for 30 days)....

You need to enter transactions. You can do that by pressing the 'Neu' button on top of the transaction form. Since your bank does not provide transaction download it will be you who has to tell KMyMoney what happened to the money

well, that's what I do currently to put in the VISA status manually. The much improved thing now is that I do not need to login to the bank via web-browser and look for the status as KMyMoney will do so
