I run KMyMoney 1.0.4 on Ubuntu 10.04.

I haven't use KMyMoney for a little while. When I reopened my account, I realized I had lost the categories...
These were present in a previous (but rather old...) backup.

Is there a way to "export" these categories from backup to import them in the current account?
How can I avoid this to happen again?
And... what will happen to the thousand of entries I have made: are they "uncategorized"?
