I am using kde4.x on Mandriva 2010.1 and Kmymoney 3.98.0

I opened my data file from the earlier version of Kmymoney2, all came up fine
I imported an oxf file from my bank, the account selection box opens and I set the checking account. when I click ok to unpack the file, my kmm program turns off

Can someone start me on a path to solve this problem

Thank you
walter

What do you mean by 'turn off'? Does it crash or simply not respond anymore?

the program shuts down, goes away, turns off, is not open on computer anymore

You might call that a crash, but it is not a freezing up, it completely shuts down and goes away

thank you

Can you start kmymoney from a console and paste the output that it throws on the console?

Can you start the program from the console with "kmymoney -n" so that it does not load the last file? In that case, go to the options and turn off all the stuff that is available for the home page. Then load your file and run the Tools/consistency check. Save the file. Now starting should work.

You should also upgrade to KMyMoney 4.5 which does not have this problem.
