I am using Kmymoney version 4.5.1 on PCLinuxOS and try to import a QIF file from Quicken.
right away when starting import I get in a pop up box the message: "Unable to add Account: Account has invalid type" When I click on OK in the box I hear a sound and the message reappears. Also clicking on the x in the upper right hand corner does not help. I cannot get out of the box except by cutting power to the PC. Any help? |

I am not sure why this happens, but on a UNIX system you always have the ability to 'kill' a process from another session/console/terminal.
Use "pkill kmymoney" to do that which is much safer than cutting the power.

Thanks for the "kill" suggestion. I am out now.
As to the explanation of the reappearance of the box I have the hunch that as I am importing many accounts they may all be of an invalid type. So when I click on OK the message reappears now related to the second account and so on. Unfortunately the message does not indicate the name of the account. Doe this make sense? |
