I can enter new transactions for this year, but when I try to do for former years, kmm markes the date in red and won`t let me complete.

I do not find any option to change this behavior... please help. A warning is ok... but I need to enter new transactions in former years after some importing defects...

thnx

I'm guessing here:
You created some accounts, then imported information from another program into those accounts, correct?
Now, when you create an account, it defaults the opening date to Jan 1st current year. KMyMoney does not allow modifying or entering (except importing) transactions with a date prior to opening date.

To solve your problem, go to the account, edit the account, change the opening date to the ACTUAL opening date.

Thanks Hei Ku. I had exactly the same problem switching over. Such a simple solution that I had overlooked.
