Hello everyone,

after MSMoney stopped the online updates of accounts and quotes, I have prepare my transition to KMyMoney.
First, I did a full install of Ubuntu 10.04 (double boot) and then KMM, the version I got was the 1.0.5, from the repository.
So I did all my import of account and settings of quotes there.
Then, for some reason I will not develop here, I reverted to Vista, but still with the wish to use KMM.
- First I tried to install the windows version directly, but I faced some limitations that I listed in another post here.viewtopic.php?f=69&t=92801, quite ok, but crashes each time I try "settings".
- then, I installed ubuntu 10.10 in a virtual box, and then KMM, and there, the version of KMM i got is the 4.5.0 (the repository says 4.5.2...). So far, so good, most issues linked to VB and Ubuntu, not to KMM.

Anyway,
I liked a lot working on the 1.0.5, and the change to the 4.5.2 is not easy, but I try.

I noticed some weird things that I'd like to report here :
- main bother item, no matter what I set in the "display", the closed account are always visible. This is quite bothering because I have a lot of them...
- At the re-opening of the account windows, or any windows, the width of the columns is always too small. I have to take them one by one so that I can see the names, etc.
- could someone tell me the folder in which I should put the "quote" scripts? The 4.5.2 come without any scripts that I could find

less bothering ones,
- It was the same on the 1.0.5, but I'd like to be able to sort the tables by choosing and clicking on the top of columns. It is very useful in the register panel when looking for a specific Check number, or else...
- Also, but it is not a big problem, my menus are a nice mix of english and French Inside "investissement", I find "equities" and "securities"... no big deal.

thanks all for giving me some tips and help...
Sincerely,
