Credit to expense accounts

Fri Feb 11, 2011 4:39 am
Hello,

I am new to KMM and was wondering if there is any way to show a credit into expense categories. For example, if my savings account has $1000 in it and I want to show that $100 of that is being saved for a vacation, how would I go about doing that? Is this even an available feature? Thanks!

You could do that with a budget, or with a subaccount, depending on your preferences.

Ok, so by subaccount you mean, for example, as a subaccount to my savings account I would have 'vacation' and 'car repairs' and so forth? That way my savings account balance would be accurately reflected and still be divided into various categories?

Thank you for the reply.
