Every time I attempt to pull budget report, the program crashes with "unknown account id". I closed an account, but it is now back open and still am not sure what to do. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance! |

Did you run 'Tools/Consistency check' already?

Please try to follow the instructions on http://www.kmymoney.org/kde4/online-manual/details.formats.anonymous.html.

It still does the same thing. This is the error that I get:
Uncaught error. Please report the details to the developers Unknown account id 'A000039' in file /build/buildd/kmymoney-4.5/kmymoney/mymoney/storage/mymoneyseqaccessmgr.cpp line 147 |

I don't expect any change when you create an anonymous file.
Try to open your data file using an editor. Check the manual which file format you have and how to convert it to a (human) readable one. Then search for 'A000039' (w/o the quotes) and let us know in which context (a few lines up front and a few after) it shows up so that we can give you more instructions.

This is what I have found
</ACCOUNT budgetsubaccounts="0" id="A000039" budgetlevel="monthly"> <PERIOD amount-"14920000/1000" start=2011-01-01"/> |

Make a backup of your data file. Then remove the three lines
and see if that fixes your problem. Which version are you using? This is very strange that you could delete that account but it is still in the budget.

I deleted those three lines in the anonymous file and it pulled a budget. I also found out that I could just delete the budget and create a new budget. I am not sure what the account id is associated with (which account). Is there anything else I should do?
Thanks |

The account is not referenced to anything - that was the problem. If you can, upgrade to a newer version (4.5.3 is the latest at this point in time)

I use Ubuntu and that is the only version in the Repository. I wasn't exactly sure on how to upgrade without that.
