KMyMoney's future

Fri Apr 01, 2011 2:55 pm
Where we can see the roadmap of KMyMoney?
What is the future of this program?

My compliments for all.

Looks like the core developers are currently very busy with their day jobs. We did start to setup a release plan but it is not filled with meet so far. See and monitor http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KMyMoney#Release_schedule. Once we have some more information we will drop it there.

I have been very impressed with the amount the team has done porting to KDE4; I've now been using KMyMoney for almost six years and, apart from one scheduling bug which meant I had to manually edit the file about five years ago, I have never been unable to keep my accounts up-to-date.

Yes there were a couple of crashes during the shift to KDE4 and some of the new features were initially confusing but I have had no lost data and, while there are some features which I would like, it has been rock solid in providing me with the sort of accounting package that meets my needs and satisfies my accountant.
