map to online account error

Wed May 18, 2011 1:37 am
hi:
thanks for your help.

i can't map the account i have with chase.

i get an error #15500 Signon invalid. "The user cannot signon because he or she entered an invalid user ID or password". i have entered the correct user name and password.

then it says "No suitable accounts were found at this bank"

any ideas what is causing this error?

thanks again,

Which online access method/protocol do you use? I expect OFX. Not knowing anything about the policies of your bank, it could be that you need a user/pwd combination for OFX access which differs from web access. I might be mistaken though. Another approach could be to find out the required parameters for your bank from them and use the manual method to select the institution during the mapping process.

thanks for getting back to me.

it was my mistake, i chose jp morgan chase instead of just chase.

i have now mapped the account, however when i click update it ask me for a kmymoney password?

i haven't setup a password for kmymoney?

i did have a kwallet launch but i canceled it.

any ideas what the password for kmymoney would be?
