If indeed it is a transfer, and I have activated the option to include transfers in the report, then why do I still not see it?

They are transactions for which a category has not yet been assigned. That is not a reason to omit them. How much trouble is it to add a line "unassigned expenses"? Without these two items, initial balance and unassigned transactions, the totals per column and the grand total of the report are useless.

Woah ! Four years that I'm using KMyMoney and I didn't even know that there was different types of reports ! I always assume that all options where available under the "Settings" dialog, so I only modify my custom report to suit my needs (which seems to be based on "1. income and expenses" report type).

So yes, in the "3. Transaction reports/Transaction by account" type of report the opening transaction show up as expected, Thanks !

I have a whole new world to discover, KMyMoney is amazing !! (If only graphs doesn't crash the app on MacOSX...)

Did you file a bug on bugs.kde.org already, or do you see it filed there?

I thought that someone from macport did but I can't find it, we talked about that problem on this bug report : https://trac.macports.org/ticket/27205 (I'm strassh on this bugtracker, see message after all pictures attachments), I filed a bug about one crash that have been fixed since and I thought that we also filed a bug on the chart problem. It seems that it is not the case (at least according to my search).

I will file a bug as soon as I have some time for that.

Thanks

I finally find it, and it seems to have been fixed today !! Just have to wait for the Macport Update.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=256910

edit : the update of macport yesterday (13/06/11) solved the issue.
