Problem on encrypted file

Mon Jun 13, 2011 9:34 pm
I lost my partition last night due to what I think was a possible virus on Linux. First of a kind, I have run into. Well to make a long story shore, Had to reload, reformat the entire partition. Well lost all my keys for security. I was able to find all my security keys on the server, but when I try to open my encrypted file with any of those keys, it doesn't recognize the keys.

I am hoping I don't have to rebuild a new file? Is there a way for the core team to unlock the file??

Did you add the Recovery key when encrypting your file?
Are you sure you recovered your private keys? Did you readd them to your keyring?

Consider this closed, I just will not encrypt unless I am putting on a remote server. I found another file that was not encrypted that I just updated the file. I need to read some more on encryption methods and keys. Thanks for your information, Hei Ku.
