I've installed KDE 4.5.4 on windows XP. I can start KMyMoney. But when I press "open file", it started to look for my devices (the floppy disk starts to sound), and then KMyMoney crashes. However when I open a file stright from the windows explorer is correctly opened.

This seems to be an issue of the KDE on Windows project rather than a KMyMoney problem. Because KMyMoney is a KDE application it depends on KDE running correctly on Windows (that needs improvement but you can follow the progress here).

It's great with kmymoney I can import easily and without any error my Microsoft Money'99 files. I use it in ubuntu, but some partners still use windows.
