Hi,
I just installed kmymoney4 from macports. I have mac osx Lion. I don't have the ofx import. I tried to look for this problem but I didnt find anything about it. kmm_banking is for the old version, and I don't even know if the plugin for ofx is compiled with the port. Anyone with the same problem or more information about this issue ? Thank you, Greg |

At least you need libofx if you want to use KMyMoney with direct OFX support or AqBanking if you want to go the KBanking route. Both are possible. Also, the mac-port needs to provide the necessary KMyMoney plugins. Please check that yourself or through the packager.

Hi,
the package do install libofx and AqBanking5. So I think it should have the plugins. But I uninstalled the kmymoney4 to install the old stable 1.0.5 release and everything is going well now. I guess I'll wait before reinstalling the version 4. The macport version is still beta. Thank you Greg |

Ooops, I only accidentally saw your post, MadCoder.
Since I am trying to maintain KMyMoney on MacPorts I'd be interested in your experience with it. I am using it in Germany with HBCI and therefore have no possibility to check OFX. But the kmymoney4(-devel) ports are both built with libofx and aqbanking5, which is why I thought that all of that would be working already. I'd love to get feedback from you if things don't work as expected. It could also be that it is an aqbanking5 issue on MacPorts. Since I also maintain that port, please let me know! Greets, Marko |

ipwizard asked me to check whether the OFX plugin gets properly loaded in KMM4. I could verify that it gets integrated into KMM4 and the relevant menu entries in "File/Import/OFX" and "Account/Map Online..." appear and lead to expected actions of the program.
Since I don't have any OFX data yet to test it, not to talk about an OFX connection to a bank, I can't go further for now. One hint he gave is that it could perhaps for some reason be that the plugin got loaded but not activated in your case. I doubt this, because this isn't the default behaviour, but who knows for sure. So, the question is, do you want to go through the hassle of installing kmymoney4-devel once again? ![]() (I'd appreciate it, since although there are still some edges to KMM4 on MacOSX it is already quite usable and less beta than you think!) |

Hi,
unfortunately, I uninstalled v4 and I'm currently using v1 which is working perfectly. I can't install both of them due to incompatibility with some dependencies. I'm gonna check tonight if I can install another instance of macport to install kmymoney 4. I'm running on lion and beside the ofx that wasn't working, the menu bar at the top was also disappearing and the only way to get it back was to close kmymoney and start it again. But as soon as I switched window or if I re-sized kmymoney, the menu bar was disappearing again. Anyway, Ill check later for a way to install both kMyMoney to help you find the glitches. I'll give you feedback on that ![]() Greg |

Ah, I see, MadCoder.
I don't run Lion currently, but a friend of mine does and could act as another reference case. Actually, I haven't heard from him trouble like the one you are reporting. I am myself running many MacPorts instances in parallel and so I advise you to do the same. KMyMoney 1.0.5 is working perfectly and is still more stable than version 4, but it isn't in development anymore. This is why I'd be happy to get more people to try and use version 4 on the Mac, so that the feedback helps its developers to improve the software accordingly. |

Hi MadCoder,
I tested the latest version of kmymoney4-devel on my friend's Lion and there all works just fine. We were able to access all the OFX menus and the main menu did never disappear. Perhaps your system needs a "sudo port selfupdate" followed by a "sudo port upgrade outdated"? Greets, Marko |

I accidentally found another ticket reporting this OFX issue on MacPorts' issue tracker: http://trac.macports.org/ticket/32993
Is that yours? If not try running
Hoping that you got KMM working fine by now. Greets, Marko |
