Hi all,

I'm trying to get my kmymoney in french, but everything has failed so far. I used 'kcmshell4 language' and set it to canadian french. But kmymoney4 is still in english. I tryed 'help->switch application language...' but english is the only choice there.

Does anyone knows what the problem is ? I tried to search on the web but found nothing about it so far...

That usually means that the translations are not installed. Marko (the maintainer of mac ports package) can help you further with this problem.

Woohoo I made it.

I downloaded the source of kmymoney4, I copied the 'po/fr/kmymoney.po' to '/opt/local/share/locale/fr'

Then I typed :

cd /opt/local/share/local/fr
sudo /opt/local/bin/msgfmt kmymoney.po -o LC_MESSAGES/kmymoney.mo

Et voila! Now kmymoney is in french.

It looks like there is room for improvement of the build and install procedure on Mac OS X...

There is an easier way to do this :
- Install the kde-l10n-fr package in macport.
- Choose the French language in the configuration.

That's it !
