I kwow that DE stands for development environment, but what does K signify?
Manjaro (KDE) 17.1.7, or,
Kubuntu 16.04.4 |

The K doesn't stand for anything - only a few rumours exist of what the K originally stood for. At the moment, we consider KDE to stand by itself - the DE doesn't mean anything anymore either.

Thought it might be. Do you know what the K means. An Internet search tells me that K does not stand for anything - sounds odd. Ps. bcooksley has answered the question
