hello - I want to place a flop counter variable in the eigen SparseMatrix source code and increment it for every add and multiply. Can anyone tell me in what file/line that should go?

Do you want to count matrix additions and products, or add and mul at the scalar level? anyway, a profiler will give you all these information.
