Good morning all,
I am quite a newbie with licenses. I read some stuff about open source licenses and start to realize how not simple it is. I think i understood the principles of (L)GPL and BSD licenses. Eigen license is MPL2 which is supposed to be in between. My question for which i look for a clear answer is simple and is the following : Am I allowed to "include" Eigen library (WITHOUT modifications) in my (C++) code and make a commercial software of it ? Under which conditions ? Thanks a lot, Adrien. |

As long as you only #include <...> Eigen's files and do not modify them then yes. If you modify Eigen's files, then the modification must remain under the MPL2. If your product is a developer library and you'd like ti include Eigen in your SDK, then you're allowed to do so, as long as the Eigen copy remains under the MPL2.
