Hi everybody,
I would like to use Eigen in a commercial software which will be distributed in binary form. I understood that the MPL allows this if I only #include the Eigen header files without modification into our source code and compile the executable from that. However, some questions came up how exactly the user of the product should be informed that Eigen is used (as described in http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/2.0/FAQ.html ... y-binaries). 1. Is it enough to list Eigen together with the license and a pointer to the homepage in the 3rd party licenses document (textfile that comes with the installation and is put somewhere in the install directory)? 2. If not, would it be ok to link to this textfile or a webpage containing the license info from the about box (as it's done in Firefox)? 3. Is it sufficient to point to the Eigen hompage where a user could download the source or has the full library in source code form to be delivered to a user together with the application to comply with section 3.2 of the MPL? Any help regarding these questions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Matthias |
