Dear All,
Given a square matrix, is there some way of calculating a basis for each proper subspace? Thanks in advance!

According to your last question, I guess that you found the solution which is to use the EigenSolver class (or SelfAdjointEigenSolver class for symmetric/hermitian matrices).

Thanks for your reply.
No, I do not think the EigenSolver class provides a solution, unfortunately. I have found examples of defective matrices where the EigenSolver class fails to obtain all eigenvectors of the basis of a proper space. |
