Number of Jordan blocks in a matrix

Thu Apr 09, 2015 1:10 pm
Hi there,

Let matrix H = U*T*U.inverse()
I want to calculate the number of Jordan blocks of the matrix T, i.e. the number of linearly independent eigenvectors of H, or the summation of the geometric multiplicity of each one of the eigenvalues of T. All these are synonyms.

I have been looking for such a method in Eigen library that does what is mentioned above but with no luck. Anyone can help?

Thanks
